I think their correct display is left to the client, the server and the protocol do not take in account any particular character set, right? I'm wondering this because I noticed that Seamonkey 1.0 (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey) does not display in the menu any line that contains accented vowels (I believe it does not display any line that contains 8-bit characters). However, both Mosaic 2.7b6 and netscape 4.78 do. This affects the menu only, text files with ISO-8859-1 characters are displayed correctly. Thank you, happy post-april 1st recovery to all. -- Alessandro Selli Tel: 340.839.73.05 http://alessandro.route-add.net
