In readr.c, just before forking and execing the inews program, readnews puts backslashes in front of all punctuation. This causes it to try to exec "\/usr\/bin\/inews", which genereates a message to the effect that "/usr/bin/inews: not found". The same error occurs if I try to type "\/usr\/bin\/inews" as a shell command. I suppose the fix is to make the program put the backslashes in front of all punctuation EXCEPT the command name. Ick. I know some of you guys have it working, what did you do? Or do we just have a weird csh? ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
