I've completed an alpha test of a gopher<->HTTP proxy for public use, now that most current browser versions have incomplete, broken or outright non-existent implementations of gopher client code. If you are interested in testing this out, please contact me in private E-mail with your browser of choice (would love some Konqueror, Mozilla derivative and Opera testers; I've banged on it pretty thoroughly with IE, the most notorious, thus far).
