I just typed in gopher in synaptic (package manager of Ubuntu) and had a look at what it returned, amongst them there was forg, already debianized and maintained by John. It seems pretty nice, but it does not support the mouse wheel. Consider it an enhancement request, but not now. Now, for John, it's time to give his computer a break ;)
