<p>The xinetd-config should have created both an /etc/xinetd.d directory *and*
an /etc/xinetd.conf file (it did on my Cygwin here). Try looking around
for a xinetd.sh.done or xinetd.sh file and run that if you can&#x27;t find either
one. I&#x27;m thinking your install was somehow incomplete and that&#x27;s where the
problem lies.

<p>You could also rerun setup.exe, make sure you can see obsolete and
administrative packages, and &quot;install&quot; or re-install the _postinstall
pseudopackage and see if that fixes it.
